'Bridge' oil on linen. Private Collection, UK. At first glance this painting feels auroral and rightly sits within the Wonderment Collection. The painting came from a walk through a valley of a National Trust property where J M W Turner walked and took inspiration. There are many lakes and a small iconic bridge, whilst painting the water and the reflections the palette took on an Impressionist feel, particularly with a nod to Claude Monet. www.kathryn-thomas.co.uk
