The painting employs a subdued palette of greens, creating an illusion of monochromatic painting at first glance but revealing shades of green and earth tones upon closer inspection. The primary colors of green, brown, blue, and red dominate the palette. The central image, a broken tree trunk, is a common sight in forests and does not initially attract attention due to the lack of solid contrasts or complementary colors. However, spending at least thirty seconds in silent observation reveals nuances and details previously unnoticed, such as the dualism of the varnish's shine and the varied directions of grass blades, showing how the tree has disturbed the ground in the painting's right foreground. The background serves merely as a backdrop, focusing only after the main elements have been thoroughly explored, revealing the nuances of a meadow and the solitude of trees left in a clearing, contrasting with the dense, untouched forest.

Ansis Rozentāls employs classical painting as the primary element of his creative practice. He views painting as the purest form of expression and the foundation of all art. His objective is to create artworks where painting intersects with contemporary, technological elements such as LED lights, smart films, and the mist from humidifiers. This approach aims to attract attention from various generations—both admirers of classical painting and enthusiasts of contemporary art and modern technologies—hoping that every viewer will find something personal and intriguing. Thematically, Rozentāls utilizes nature and metaphysical primary elements—earth, water, fire, air, ether—in his works, allowing for a broad spectrum of visual interpretations. One of his main goals is to encourage viewers to reflect on the environment and the structure of the world, helping each person find answers to questions that seem important. His idea of the symbiosis between classical painting and modern technologies marks a new way of combining painting with new media. By employing the fundamental principles of expanded painting connected with the capabilities of new technologies, he finds ways to broaden perspectives on painting as a whole. Within the framework of his practical doctoral studies, Rozentāls compiles and analyzes his knowledge and skills using research methods, primarily through practice-based studies. He actively participates in group exhibitions and their organization and develops his technological knowledge. In early 2022, he opened a solo exhibition "metaELEMENT" in Liepāja, participated in several international projects and creative workshops. Parallel to his research and creative work, he engages in various artistic events, assisting in organizing exhibitions and creating scenography, and working in advertising and the film industry.
