Karin Rieder has been dealing with architecture, interior design and modern art for many years. Some of the abstract pictures that have emerged over the years are now being presented to an audience for the first time. At first, the picture seems trivial - but anyone who gets involved in these works opens new worlds. They are images that are difficult to understand, but then simple. As a rule, they consist of numerous layers of color, which give every image a vibrating life of its own. Sometimes these layers flash through recesses, sometimes they penetrate each other and form iridescent intersections. There are hardly any objects or shapes that could be made dingfest in this extraordinary surface and color variety. The color line follows the color line - sometimes also expressly against the line. The presence of the partly economical compositions can not be explained by logic. The artist works mostly on several motifs at the same time. Sometimes it starts a work simply because the previous color is still left. When the journey ends, she does not know before. For which Karin Rieder has an excellent flair is the moment when a picture is ready. You never get the impression that it is more than necessary. The fascinating thing about her works is that she creates coloring experiences in which you want to stay.
