PATRICIA BERTACCHINI SALA was born in 1976 in São Paulo. She is Brazilian, passionate about art from an early age. At the early age of 5, she won the Stella Barros Turismo Contest, and at the age of 16, she won the II Competition of Painting at the Aeronautics Hospital of São Paulo Exhibition. Graduated from Mackenzie University and PHD in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (USP), her education gave her a more accurate KNOWLEDGE in aesthetics, through which she discusses the valorization and the emotional relationship between the urban / human spaces. She looks for possibilities of emotional processes of multiple dimensions by the focus of the space research (which is limited and unidimensional). She makes the search for this investigation, her life goal, using Art as an expression. She believes that the essence of her art work is not to reveal a meaning, but rather that, her ART WORK is a process that reveals an OWN LANGUAGE. This language is universal and interacts with the sensitive and subconscious perception of those who feel it. She believes that the perception of emotions, in Art, is able to reach beyond the object produced by the artist. HER WORKS develop possibilities to express dynamic languages, starting from something limited (the screen and the materials used), and from these, deriving a whole linguistic process from MULTIPLE MOVEMENTS, TRANSPARENCES AND TEXTURES, which will only have meaning (and different meanings) when they interact with the observer's perception. The essential in her work is the expression of languages that reveal universal emotions and that can´t be expressed verbally. The exploration of transparency and overlays in acrylic and oily, aqueous and nonaqueous bases brings multi-directional sensations to her TECHNIQUE, allowing a new vision to each contact with his work. Nowadays, she has more accurately explored the adaptation of materials focusing on aqueous acrylic bases, and developed his own technique of multicolored acrylic aqueous deposition, and developing her own technique of multicolored acrylic aqueous deposition.
