Buddha Shakyamuni Painting

Tatiana Biziukova, born in Kyrgyzstan in 1983, has spent 12 years travelling around Asia, developing a passion for and deep interest in the rich cultural traditions in visual arts of the region. She received BFA from Benares Hindu University, living for 5 years in the holiest city of India - Varanasi. Tatiana gained knowledge of traditional Indian and Tibetan school of art: miniature painting, Kerala traditional mural painting, madhubani art; Tibetan thangka painting, its painting techniques and symbolism. She has a particular interest in geometrical forms used for meditation (e.g. yantras and mandalas) and their influence on the human mind and consciousness. Tatiana continues to explore this relationship between symbols, rituals and consciousness through her art. “Art has been my gateway to self-discovery, a visual language that has a potent effect on human consciousness. Beyond linguistic limitations, symbols have the power to submerge into a transcendental experience, state of trance, or the realm of the unconscious.
