Bulletproof Painting

Daniella is an MA architect and self-taught artist based in Hitchin, UK, who has been creating abstract paintings since 2016. Her vibrant works reflect the spirit of South American culture, influenced by her architectural background and experiences living in Bolivia, the UK, Switzerland, and Brazil. Trained in Architecture at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, and Greenwich University, Daniella transitioned to art after becoming a mother, channeling her passion into expressive, colorful acrylic paintings. “When I paint, my focus is on the interplay of color and composition, as color serves as both my language and inspiration. I use only palette knives of various sizes, not just as tools but as extensions of my vision, to create the feeling of ‘building’ an image with color, much like constructing in architecture. Each layer of paint becomes an expression, blending texture, hue, and emotion. The physicality of the palette knives allows me to shape the image, infusing it with energy, movement, and the limitless possibilities of color.”
