Buzz Painting

Born in England, raised in north Wales. My artistic journey mirrors the solitude of a turbulent childhood through separation from my mother. My dream as a child was to be an artist just like my mum. That was not encouraged by my guardian, instead encouraged to study engineering or a trade. Despite getting a university education, I resisted finding a career in engineering, instead becoming a chef, factory worker, graphic designer, programmer and even a website developer. Yet I couldn't understand why I was so unsatisfied in every position I held. Then, in my mid 20s I was diagnosed with ADHD. This diagnosis changed my perspective in life and helped recontextualize a lot of my struggles growing up. This new lease on life encouraged me to take the step into the art world, where I now make my living full time. Today I use my art to express the quiet strength cultivated during my unstable childhood, inviting viewers to explore the profound depths of personal connection within each creation.
