THE STORY BEHIND MY INSPIRATION: STORY OF CHANEL N5 PERFUME/BOTTLE When Gabrielle Chanel created N°5 Parfum with perfumer Ernest Beaux in 1921, she launched a revolution in a bottle. It was the first of its kind — ground-breaking for Beaux’s innovative use of aldehydes, or synthetic components which add layers of complexity, making N°5 shockingly modern in an era of single-note scents. As the most potent symbol of the luxurious simplicity for which Chanel is renowned, N°5 has since become more than a fragrance. It is an olfactory heritage: an idea of femininity, a masterpiece of chic, passed on from generation to generation. The now and forever fragrance. A bouquet of abstract flowers is how Gabrielle Chanel described N°5, a floral-aldehydic fragrance whose formula requires no less than eighty ingredients. At first, the scent unfolds with a stunning surge of Ylang-Ylang and Neroli (bitter orange tree blossom). Then, a perfect harmony of voluptuous May Rose and sensuous Jasmine from Grasse emerges, followed by a vibrant woody base of Sandalwood, Bourbon Vetiver and Vanilla. An ever-changing fragrance with no single dominant note, N°5 boasts the incredible power of being able to be interpreted differently based on the wearer, thus revealing each woman’s uniqueness. Parfum is the most precious, concentrated and long-lasting form of fragrance, with its own specific application. Gabrielle Chanel's advice was to apply it "wherever you would like to be kissed." Neck, wrist, décolleté… Apply a drop of Parfum on each pulse point, letting it develop on your skin and feeling the fragrance echo the beat of your heart. Designed in 1921 by Gabrielle Chanel herself, the simple lines and incredibly plain white label of The Classic Bottle were as surprising as the fragrance. The chiseled stopper, cut like a diamond, was inspired by the geometry of the Place Vendôme that Gabrielle could gaze at from the balcony of her room at the Ritz in Paris. Over the years, only subtle changes have been made to the original design in order to preserve its stunningly contemporary aesthetic. Since the creation of N°5, Chanel has practiced the art of baudruchage to seal bottles of parfum. Performed entirely by hand, the technique consists of placing a fine membrane over the neck of the bottle and holding it in place with two rows of pearl-cotton thread. It is then closed with a wax seal. From this moment, a pact of exclusiveness is sealed: the bottle can only be opened by the woman for whom it is destined.

CAROLINA ELISABETTA SACCONE. Art has always been in Carolina’s life and has always had passion for Art. She spent her childhood drawing, painting, and always being creative and trying to create something, but never dreamed that she could turn her passion into a career. Born in Boston, Ma. She grew up in Peabody, Ma. A suburb north of the city. In high school is when she realized her love and passion for art and started thinking about it more than just a hobby. She went to college and studied psychology and after four years switched majors and transferred schools. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2005 with a B.A. in Art. Her degree is in Studio Art with focus on painting and Art History and elective courses in Fashion. It took her over ten years away from art to realize this dream. After over a decade in a fashion design career, she came back to her passion for painting. Carolina uploaded images of her paintings to the internet and social media. To her surprise, she received orders for art that night, she took this as a “sign”. That was when she started to paint more and more and in 2017 decided to quit her “Real Job” within months nd started to paint full time as a full time artist. She began to experiment with styles, themes, subject matter, techniques, multi media, and home décor. That’s when she started, CAROLINA ELISABETTA ART and CAROLINA ELISABETTA CASA. Only over the last year has Carolina emerged as an artist, finding herself in unfamiliar, but exciting territory. An inspirational artist whose background and study in art and fashion translates into a dynamic canvas. She imagines the items around us with luxury and fashion transforming them into something improved, fun, and desirable. Creating a new context for the everyday to see everything differently, not how we are told or intended to see it. I look for the future of what pop art is in our modern world and culture. Continuing to absorb our past and push these ideas further today. Carolina took some time off and returned to her art in June 2017,after taking time off to deal with the recent death and loss of her only sibling/brother William Angelo Saccone III on December, 29, 2016. She considers art as a therapy form for herself and believes that art heals both the maker and the receiver of art. She hopes some day to be able to offer art therapy for other people as well. Carolina is in the process of applying to graduate school and get her masters in Art Therapy.
