ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is a bold movement in artistic expression that marries surrealist explorations with a fresh contemporary edge. It is inspired by Max Ernst, Vachagan, Kollwitz and others. Spray paint is a relatively new media in the realm of fine art and here it is combined with drawing media and stamping. The painting reads as gold (although on computer it does not approach the vibrancy...) black black and a zing of pop with a bright fuschia. It is unframed, painted on a custom wood panel that measures 48"x48", all materials used are archival.
