"Creation" Painting

Umm Aisha is an artist with a passion for both traditional & contemporary abstract Islamic Art. Her paintings are in various mediums, each with their own depth of meaning. Inspiration for the paintings is found everywhere, but most importantly from the Quran and the words of God.Umm Aisha's love and passion for the Arabic script and having completed a course on Islamic Calligraphy, she paints using stylized Arabic calligraphy influenced by traditional scripts, balanced with contemporary abstract design.Her vision is to portray her faith with peace, love and true belief being the essence of a tranquil life. She hopes to try to capture the heart of the onlooker and give them a constant reminder of the souls journey from darkness to light. An awakening to the path of peace and tranquility.As a result of media and political propaganda, many believe Islam to be a strict and barbaric religion. She hopes her paintings can portray what peace she has found as a British born Muslim, through her faith and she hopes they can convey the deep sense of spiritual and emotional communication which is merely reflective of the fact that she does indeed paint from the heart.
