The "California Swimming Pool" painting depicts a swimming pool next to a modern house, with a diver ready to dive from a diving board positioned on the left side of the painting. Painting dimensions: 100 x 150 x 3.5 cm thick. The artwork is painted on a 3.5 cm thick gallery canvas, it is also painted on the border and is ready to hang on the wall. "California Swimming Pool" pays homage to the famous pop art painting by British artist David Hockney, in which, however, a large spray of water created by the diver appears, that is, a few seconds after Trevisan's painting. In the painting there is a view of a swimming pool with a 1960s modernist architecture building typical of Californian houses behind it. A yellow diving board protrudes from the left side of the painting, above which a diver in a white bathing suit is depicted just before diving into the blue pool, whose edge is outlined by a blue stripe and a thinner white one. The painting is projected in a horizontal dimension so as to leave not only the diver but also the eye of the observer a free blue space of the still empty swimming pool: it represents a dimension of freedom on which to project both the immersion and the dimension of our dreams. The colors used are deliberately homogeneous and decisive to emphasize the strong Californian light and give the painting a pop art version. The yellow diving board stands out dramatically on the turquoise water of the pool, which echoes in the intense turquoise of the sky. Between sky and water, a blue stripe: it is the California sea, the Pacific Ocean that recalls a distant horizon. The architecture of the building is represented by a rectangular block with two windows, in front of which a folding chair and two characters, a man and a woman, are clearly delineated. Palm trees on long, thin trunks adorn the background of the painting both to the left behind the diver and to the right behind the building. Other palm trees and distant buildings are reflected in the windows of the house. A row of low, green vegetation decorates his left side of the painting.

Trevisan is a italian painter with international activity who has been exhibiting in art galleries around the world for many years (from Usa to Europe, China, Hong Kong, Qatar, Brasil, Mexico) and currently (Dicember 2024) exhibiting his paintings in Italy - France - Bruxelles - Boston - Philadelphia. His painting seeks the beauty and harmony of the subjects in a lively and classic chromatism. Positivity that is found in his personal lyrical and dreamlike surrealism. Trevisan's art is surreal, colorful, ironic, positive. His life paintings alternate at times colorful and lively, at times darker and more poetic. Color and positivity, love and poetry immediately accompany the artistic creations by developing a personal technique representative of a surreal vision of life. Trevisan creates with proportion of subjects and objects, treating everything as a scenic composition in which everything finds balance and harmony. Subjects and objects are the protagonists of each painting that give the viewer a positive and serene atmosphere, a constructive irony that helps in everyday life. His paintings are windows of dreams into reality and poetry that help us face life with a smile and a lesson in inner positivity every day. Collectors from all over the world appreciate his work which remains universal and timeless. Works of art to be collected that already in the present repay the collector with values of positivity and harmony. Pieces of art that will remain in the future of Trevisan's art history.
