About The Artwork
My paintings are a puzzle with a geometric overtone. They convey a festive mood that makes them easy to appreciate. The colors come from inside, being sometimes iridescent and sometimes muted. The designs have an architectural feel that come from my initial interest, architecture. My inspiration is the Action Painting, developed in the US in the mid 40s. I think that this was the first time abstraction was validated and open painting to what it is today. Pollack, Kline and De Kooning are among my favorite artists.
