Contact us.Inga Butkute is a professional musician turned to be artist at 2018. Her earlier life was occupied by music. As a daughter of a father who's profesional trumpetist she pursuit music by attending music school and later by earning her University degre in music in Lithuania. Later when she got married and had children abandoned music, but discovered that she can draw and paint thrue her daughter who likes to draw. Since then painting became her way of life.
Inga likes to paint in expressive colours, especially mountains, sky and sea, because it shows vastness of beauty of the Earth and its horizons. As being diver herself, her art as if she dives in it - with dreams, heart and emotions..
Her Artist Statement:
I am an artist and a diver. I use art to explore the beauty of universe, by reaching the depths of the sea and the sky, and vastnes of the horizons. These are the source of inspiration, along with landscapes, particulary mountains.
My medium mostly is oil on canvas, I use expressive colours to depict nature, paying attention to compossition, perspective and depth. I use pallete knife for mountains and rocks to get that 3d shape to enhance impression of its massiveness and beauty.
Mountains, sea and sky are that circle of inspiration which I express with colourfull strokes with a touch of ellegance. Light and darkness, being in contrast with each other, forms harmony and enhances depth of the sky and horizons, as if longing to reach them.
