Cascade Painting

My painting titled "Cascade" holds a deeply personal story for me, one that is rooted in memory and nostalgia. With a range of acrylic techniques I have created a bridge between the past and present, capturing a place that once held great significance in my life. "Cascade" is inspired by my childhood’s favorite place. A place where I spent many carefree, sun filled summers. A place like one I am sure many viewers fondly remember themselves. Those memories remain vivid in my mind, and "Cascade" is a tribute to those cherished moments. It represents the inescapable pull of memory, the way certain moments in life are etched deeply into our consciousness, even as time moves on. The dominant colors of dark blue and yellow reflect the duality of these memories. The dark blue, though electric, symbolizes the passage of time and the melancholy that comes with that realization. The yellow, on the other hand, represents the warmth and light of those memories and the sense of belonging that I felt there. The brown signifies the earthly connection to the physical place while the softer, more delicate pink symbolizes the tenderness of those recollections. In a way this work represents my journey. Through the interplay of color and form, I invite viewers to walk that familiar path with me, to feel the weight of memory, and to experience the cascade of emotions that flow from the past into the present.
