Art Description

Painting: Oil, Color, Paint on Canvas.

Oddly enough this painting has drawn inspiration from the Holocaust and Henri Rousseau's well known "naive painting" titled Surprised. It might sound like an unusual combination of ideas at first sight but it's message has a deep importance for me. The cat with the red stripe stands straight "with its shoulders back" amidst the "chaos", amidst "danger" just as many people did during World War II. The red stripe is "the mark", the stigma, being different.
