While I usually work without a plan, I find that recently I have become inspired to paint from artsy photos taken by Elanaye (find them on Instagram - one of my lovely children). As the mom, I was granted permission to paint away. I am enjoying the process and so far I am pleased enough with the results.
The photo from which this was painted was taken in Shade, OH (thus the title). Delilah kitty was on the porch enjoying the sun.

12” x 12” acrylic on stretched canvas with painted, staple free sides that is finished with a satin protective coat of varnish.
