About The Artwork

Cecelia is an abstract painting painted on wood panel with acrylics, gold glitter, and oil pastels. Sprayed with a satin varnish and framed in a gold wood frame. Size: 16"x16"x0.75" Year: 2018 Sides are unpainted and artist signature is on the back. About the Vibrante Collection. It is composed of 8 abstract paintings, inspired by my trip to Guanajuato Mexico in February. The city is known for its charming brightly painted homes stacking one on top of the other, filling up the mountains nearby. The bright blues, greens, and oranges of these buildings were the main inspiration for my color palette in this collection. Inside the city is filled with this incredible electric energy. Both locals and tourists bustling about the town plaza or one of the many historical sites. The movement is constant and never-ending. As I thought of a name for this collection, I kept thinking back to the way the city of Guanajuato felt. So I called it "Vibrante", which is Spanish for "full of energy", and I feel like these paintings are a true representation of that.

Patricia Vargas is a digital painter specializing in large scale abstract art prints. Her work is known for its lively color palettes and organic shapes. At the age of ten, her mother introduced her to acrylic landscape painting, and Patricia found the process captivating. Two years later, her creativity expanded into new realms, and she began experimenting with Photoshop. It was then that she developed an equal love and appreciation for design and technology. She earned a B.A. of Art from the University of California Santa Barbara and worked as a web designer for four years. In 2013 she decided to focus on her art and opened Parima Studio. For several years Patricia created both digitally and with acrylics, respectively, but all within the same theme of self-discovery. However, it wasn't until 2016 that she decided to make digital painting the core focus of her work. She felt that the digital medium most accurately reflected her passion for art, design, and technology. Patricia's clients consist of private collectors, interior designers, and luxury hotels all around the world. Select pieces have also been sold by retailers such as Anthropologie, West Elm, and Pottery Barn. Her work has appeared in numerous press outlets including Domino and Better Homes and Gardens. More recently, her art has been used for commercials, multiple tv series, and film.
