ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Château Vaux le Vicomte in France is one of the most fascinating places, especially that it was the precursor of the Versailles Palace. The beautiful Palace and gardens were the opera of the golden trio: the gardener and landscape designer André Le Nôtre, the architect Louis Le Vau and the painter decorator Charles Le Brun. The same trio then proceeded to building Versailles. However, Nicholas Fouquet, the mastermind behind the Château Vaux le Vicomte, fell into disgrace and was imprisoned by Louis XIV. His fate was sealed by the Château.
