Red is the perfect color to capture the energy and excitement of polo. Taking the next step in my painting career I wanted to challenge myself to explore vibrant rich colors in the context of the natural hues of horses and their riders. Adding in the complexity of the polo equipment and riding uniform the result is a visual exploration of the heart of polo. In the sport of polo riders are required to change ponies each Chukker. This is set up primarily for the safety of the horses. Each pony adds its own unique impact to the outcome of the game.
