I was inspired by Picasso's Bouquet of Peace. I have always loved that lithograph. I wanted to take it and make it my own by adding in the Irises which happen to be my favorite flower. I also wanted to work with paper so the flowers are paper that I cut out and formed onto the canvas with molding paste and matte medium. I also used the blue color in order to pop the flowers and give them more vibrancy. I think it works!

Born in Roswell, New Mexico, and raised in the vibrant cities of New Orleans and Fort Worth, Texas, my journey into art has been as diverse as my upbringing. My early exposure to different cultures and landscapes deeply influenced my artistic perspective. While studying Art History at Southern Methodist University, I discovered that observing art was no longer enough for me. I felt a compelling urge to create. This realization marked the beginning of my journey as an artist. My passion for painting grew as I found a profound connection to both humanity and nature through my work. Painting allows me to achieve a level of focus and presence that everyday life often scatters. When I paint the natural beauty of Colorado or Texas, I immerse myself entirely in the moment. My concerns shift to the nuances of color, process, and proportion. I become absorbed in capturing the way light interacts with a branch or the delicate petals of a flower. The tactile experience of laying a line on canvas and perfecting a shade brings me immense joy and fulfillment. Having recently moved to Austin from Dallas, I am excited to redefine myself in this vibrant part of Texas. This new chapter in my life is fueling my creativity and inspiring new works that reflect my evolving artistic vision. Austin’s dynamic art scene and natural beauty offer endless inspiration, and I am eager to share my latest creations with those who appreciate the profound beauty of nature and thoughtful artistry. My work is a reflection of my surroundings and experiences. Each piece is a testament to my journey and the moments of clarity I find in the act of creation. Through my art, I strive to share the beauty and tranquility I encounter in nature with others, inviting them to experience the same sense of presence and wonder. I invite you to explore my collection and find a piece that resonates with you. Whether you are a seasoned art collector or a first-time buyer, my goal is to connect with individuals who appreciate the unique blend of technique and emotion that each painting embodies.
