This artwork was painted under the emotional influence of many events taking place in the world. This picture is my personal protest against the war. Like Tolstoy and Stendhal, I consider the nature of war to be absurd. What will save the world? Faith, love and hope. And the color scheme of this work is just about that. You know, I am most often inspired by painting after reading books. This artwork was no exception. Therefore, I am glad to present you my vision and interpretation of one of the great novels of Stendhal. Relief on canvas is a textured paste. The work uses acrylic, pastel, charcoal.

‘An artist is a liar, but art itself is the truth’ Hi everyone. My name is Grigor Boyakhchyan, 28 y.o, born in Armenia, based in Siberia, Russia. Back in 2010, when I entered the School of Architecture and Design, I could not even imagine that at some point in my life I would start to engage in fine art, paint pictures, and exhibit them in different countries. For, paradoxical it may sound, I used to skip painting classes at the university. In 2017, I developed an irresistible passion for art. I delved into the history of art to nourish the forgotten knowledge; and along with historical enlightenment, I created diverse sketches and portraits in pencil. Moreover, that was the time when I discovered the ‘fluid art’ technique, which later became a guide to the world of abstract art. According to Jung, the greatest sin is to be unconscious. Thus, one of the most evil and destructive forces is unfulfilled creativity. In my case, art has become the major transmitter and language, with which I am in a position to exercise creativity and convey personal ideas and thoughts to people in different parts of the world: Russia, France, Italy, Armenia, Germany, England, Japan, etc. I am happy to serve my mission.
