ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The artwork is stretched on a wooden frame. Lots of colorful layers of paint followed by black and white on the top. Some of the underlayers reshape the top two main colors a bit at the final look of the painting. She prefers leaving the canvas side run over by paint used on the top. The sides became an organic part of the painting. There were many materials used to create the Chasm (1-2) series: ash, bitumen, marble powder, sand, oil pastel, acrylic paint.
