I draw, and then I paint. I do so naively, classically. Art is the imitation of reality. It allows life to appear as it is. Art as pure Aristotelian imitation is today a statement of political and religious conservatism. 'Modern art' is expensive junk, but my work is for human beings who admire the cardinal virtues. At present, our lands are ruled over by corrupt junk. That makes me unhappy and I have decided to work in a conservative way.
