A sequence, a repetition of a story this work is inspired by pattern and how it changes. I like the openness of this work which gives a feeling of space, the contrast between the central density of shapes with the surrounding area, that draw attention to the pattern. This work transports my thoughts to another place a playful painting that is full of joy. Life can be so serious, particularly at the moment I hope this work brings a lightness of heart and happiness to the viewer.

I love to experiment in my process of painting, exploring opposites like the spontaneous mark alongside the deliberate, dark colours contrasted with fluorescent pigments, masses of colour juxtaposed with fine ribbons or scribbles of paint. Compositions that offer no clear connection to reality or meaning, rather present explorations of painting compositions that may stimulate memories and create pathways to the imagination.
