About The Artwork

"I think the key is basically just your determination. As far an artist is concerned, it's just about your drive and your dream" - Chris Brown ( All proceeds will go towards charity ) I primarily use plastisol ink on canvas. The Ink is thick and won't dry unless heated above 400° temperatures. Texture makes you want to touch it! I use squeegee techniques, screen printing, spray painting and throw paint in different ways. On the back of canvas is brand stamped with DA authenticity.

Devon Almarinez hails from the streets of the San Francisco Bay Area. His passion for art started as a teenager and continued after graduating from the University of San Francisco. He went on to travel around the United States with celebrities and entrepreneurs creating custom artwork for them in various forms such as; tattoos, merchandise and street art. His work can be seen in magazines, TV shows and the streets across the U.S and around the world. While working and developing identities for artists behind the scenes, he realized his passion for expression through mixed media paintings and artworks. Devon combines his background in graphic design to create an abstract documentation of celebrity icons. As a self-taught artist, Almarinez aims to document their societal contributions, and create an homage to the icon while inciting the audience to explore and learn more about them. Maintaining the integrity of the person is paramount to Almarinez’s work as he displays their all too often forgotten biography on canvas. Almarinez approaches his work without a formula creating each piece organically and impulsively. The vibrant energetic colors of his work mirror his approach and technique. His unique design style combines splatter painting, screen-printing, squeegee art, and graphic design into “organized chaos,” much like our technological chaotic world. Devon Almarinez creates, documents and relives history. Almarinez is inspired by his life experiences. When he is drawn to something, he researches that subject, digs into its history, like reading a book and then describing his take on what he has seen, heard and read. Hollywood and sports entertainment is a intricate apart of his life. He was invited to film with the TV show “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” on E! after meeting Dorothy Wang at a pool party. Lisa Vanderpump put a piece of Devon’s artwork on display at PUMP restaurant in Hollywood when they first met. Showtime’s boxing specials “Mayweather vs Pacquiao” and “Mayweather vs Berto” featured his artwork. Floyd was so impressed when he met Devon, that he said he would recommend placing the canvas in the MGM museum. Devon has an open invitation to the 49ers Levi Stadium to showcase his work with coaches, players, and staff. His artwork has become synonymous with the franchise. Devon doesn’t just have unique artwork... he has a spark not many artists have.
