About The Artwork
The painting was inspired by the grit of the city with its metal and concrete colors. I use fluorescent pigment to give it a metal feel that shimmers in the light. I applied a variety of grays tones. In places a warm tone comes out to recall the turning of the leaves on the trees. The painting is comprised of hundreds of paint drips that change tone as the light reflects it. It is a divided in two panels, each being 60X48 inches which make the entire painting 60X96 inches.
