City in the Sea Painting

Allyson grew up in Edmonds Washington, and studied Fine Art at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington. She studied under Charles Stokes, William Cumming and Dale Owen. She has displayed and sold her paintings throughout the Northwest. She has worked in Acrylics, watercolor and mixed media for 48 years, starting to paint at a young age and experimenting with different methods and styles in modern techniques. She also trained in Performance Theater Arts and worked professionally in the theater in Seattle and California. Her abstract and thoughtful renderings of images and shapes emerging from all areas of the canvas and love for layering and providing balance and a harmony in bursts of color are an ongoing theme in her work.
