Classic Teamwork Painting

My art is where wind, water and creativity collide. Ever since I can recall, nature’s magnificent and at times awe-inspiring power has seemed to be a part of my deepest being.... a constant source of inspiration for the art I love creating. And what finer stage than on a sail boat to witness the drama of man’s adventurous spirit playing out against the backdrop of our vast oceans. My paintings are an attempt to capture these intense moments of light, spray, joy, salty sails, power, nerves, fear, rolling, wet, waves and clouds... all colliding onto the small space of canvas and infuse them with my own experience with the sea. It is the expression of that collision - the energy and vitality that I want to share. Exploration of light and movement: giving concrete form to the dynamic plays of light and shadow are what inspire me. The journey is spiritual: a realm where courage and hope contend against fear and doubt.
