About The Artwork
This is from a childhood memory. There was a pond in a forest near where I lived. I was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed roaming the forest on my own. I would often sit at the pond taking in the silence and the gentle sounds. This work is not mounted or framed. The paper size is 20ins x 16ins. The image size is 18.5ins x 14.5ins. The paper has gum strip round the edge which has been used to stretch the paper in the traditional way.

I was a painter to begin. I started doing computer art in the late 70s, programmed at first but then evolving into a couple of strands of practice. Today the painting and the computer work interact sometimes, because of digital media I also retrieve and revisit old work when it merits it. Art theorists and historians tend to demand a kind of monotony in creatives' work, I lost interest in that kind of thesis a long time ago so I have fun and do what interests me, hence the range of styles and approaches.
