Clematis and Roses Painting

Essentially, my work embraces naturalistic paintings as well as abstract pictures with a scope ranging from an intellectual spirit up to pure emotions, joy, humor, and satire savvy. Concerning the style of my work, it originates from photorealism. The contents center around straight forward themes of everyday live. They should trigger feelings of security, joy of live, and curiosity. My paintings are multilayered in a literal sense . The first layer usually is the most realistic, a landscape, people, flowers, travel memories. Over this picture I put new high-contrast layers of forms and colours. The painting develops layer for layer during a slow but exciting process. Thoughts, intuition and coincidence accompany this process. For me it is a kind of meditation and joy, expedition and try-out, forming an indipendent thing out of form and colour. This process ends if I feel that the painting is "ready".
