About The Artwork
“Closed eyes” is a part of the series “Childhood”. This painting was influenced by real situation that came in Ukrainian’s houses. People had to hide in shelters or just went to basement of the house. I included this composition in the series “Childhood” because it represent not only war which is important for me. It is also showing the boundless love and desire of every parent to protect their child. You can see the father’s face with concerns and triumph. In the continuation of my thoughts about childhood and revelation with adult life I am thinking a lot how all this the war events and drastic changes in the life of each child of war will affect him and the whole generation as a whole.
