Cloud Gate Painting

This is one in a series of imaginary impressionistic paintings. The body of work was inspired by experiencing cold, wet, wind, storm clouds, and fast-moving rivers during a winter residency in rural France. Repeated days of these weather patterns were a catalyst for painting imagined landscapes with expansive atmospheres where the dramatic and the subtle co-exist. This painting and others from the series are intimate in scale with rich moody tones. They can be considered interior exteriors akin to transcendent landscape painting. Sold as an individual painting it can also be sold with others in the series as a pair or grouping of 3 or more paintings. Each painting is 5X7 inches on canvas board and unframed. I have provided a sample image of the piece framed however if and how the painting is framed is best left to the buyer's discretion.
