These days we need to slow down, gain clarity and become patient with our surroundings. We all crave freedom and comfort from our lives, and being empathetic is what makes us compassionate, draws us together and enriches us. My art is about embracing imaginative daydreams intermingled with mindfulness. I am particularly fascinated by the way light reflects to form shimmering silhouettes. By imagining this, I create surreal figurative landscapes and evoking still life themes to invite the connection with the viewer on a subconscious level. Imagine you are that person floating in the vast ocean and drifting away in the sunset sky. I capture the tipping point where we are all able stop, breathe and surrender to our senses. Our ultimate escapism.
