ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I enjoy doing life drawings and my interest in mythologies relates to them as being analogies to real life. In many works around the story of Clytemnestra she is portrayed as being shocked by her acts of violence but I wanted to depict her as being more detached, almost blase. I hope the viewer will be drawn in by her presence and sense her aloofness. I used oil paints because of their depth of colour and texture.
