Tony A. Blue - American Artist, known by some as the Warren Zevon of contemporary painters. "My acrylics/mixed media work is on wood or canvas and my style leans to the expressionistic side - even my landscapes. Often I like additional texture in my work and sometimes I also add other elements, i.e. copper, barbed wire, newsprint, etc. - it helps me get to the heart of the matter. Painting gives me a means to express myself and what is on my mind, even if it's a little bizarre and/or whimsical at the time! Since I was born and raised in America, many times my work translates to an American persuasion. However, the way the world is shrinking, I expect the rest of the planet may also relate to the message that's in much of my work. One thing for sure, it's a crazy mixed up world we live in - I'm going to need a lot more paint."
