Cocoon 1 Painting

Ana-Maria Tucanu was born in 1977, in Piatra-Neamt, and currently lives and creates in Bucharest, Romania. She graduated "Traditional School of Arts" in Piatra-Neamt, "Victor Brauner" High School of Arts in Piatra-Neamt and then the "Faculty of Psychology" in Bucharest. "I firmly believe that the happiest and most accomplished people on earth are those who have the blessing of doing in life what they enjoy, those who can let their minds wander, dream, vibrate, so that in the end it CREATES. What can be more special than to turn a white, pure, simple canvas into something beautiful, special that can convey so many things: emotion, joy, sadness, search, anger, need of isolation, thirst for the new, knowledge, accomplishment ... And, at the same time, it can say so much about you, as an artist, about the real inner you, beyond the appearances, the facade, the masks, about what you really want to be, about expectations, emotions, contemplation, dreams, completion and fulfillment. When I paint, time seems not to have the same pace, it all flows and transforms differently, I live and feel everything differently, more sensory, colors are alive, vibrate and want to express all my feelings and emotions. I rediscovered PAINTING at the moment of my life when I needed it most, when I felt the need for new, balance, harmony, when I wanted to rediscover myself as a person ... and so it all started again. Painting offered me a new perspective, another lifestyle, the opportunity to daydream, to bring my feelings to life and to express them through COLORS."
