My name is Beáta Fekete-Vincze, a Hungarian visual artist and designer. My works reflect on the fragility and contradictions of contemporary human existence. Emotional states, mental health, and social tensions lie at the core of my practice. My portraits and figurative compositions are not mere representations of reality but visual spaces where traces of wounds, resilience, and the possibility of renewal become visible. I consciously distance myself from traditional, academic art. My painting is defined by expressive figuration, experimental use of materials, and dramatic contrasts. Black and white, deep blue, and gold textures emphasize the beauty of imperfection – echoing the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, where fractures are filled with gold, turning scars into part of beauty and history. My art is contemporary because it responds directly to today’s vulnerabilities, choices, and collective responsibilities. It is different because it does not conform to any canon: its aim is to create a visual language that resonates internationally, initiates dialogue, and breaks down taboos. The works are visually striking and captivating, yet they reach beyond aesthetics: they invite viewers to confront fragility and, through it, discover the strength that enables healing and transformation.
