An original artwork on paper, celebrating the soft organic shape of the human figure and an intimate moment of reflection. Taking inspiration from the old masters' frescos I build up layers of paint and find the human form in an imagined landscape which reflects a mood and emotion, blurring the line between abstraction and figuration. - Acrylic and pastel on Saunders Waterford 425 gsm high white paper. - extent of the paper 76 x 57cm. Artwork 69 x55cm - unframed - created 2022

Although primarily a painter, interested in the tradition of painting and narrative, she works in a wide variety of materials. Jagger's work explores familiar themes; joy, despair, love, release, indulgence, the transitory nature of life - when a moment of delight is also your downfall, mapping out emotions over time.
