The story behind the painting: “Love is too young to know what conscience is.” (William Shakespeare) Rendered Jewels collection: In my Rendered Jewels I explore a deeper part of my psyche, featuring realistic and figurative portraits, mixing them with abstractly formed lines and forms, intuitive colourful splashes, colour transitions, and Magic Light®. I use both realism and abstraction to express the ideas I accumulate from the Universe and combine it with what is going on inside me, inside my soul. I am intrigued by the fleeting balance between strength and fragility, tranquility, action, connection in the universe, nature, and the human mind. My paintings are inspired by my spiritual and philosophical search for answers to life, the purpose of living, love, existence. Every painting I create is a piece of my artistic answer to those “searches”. I use mixed media and Magic Light® so that the paintings glow in the dark and the "unseen" is revealed. What is hidden at daytime secretly reveals itself at night in the intimacy and privacy of the viewer’s world. The story that inspired this painting comes from my personal love life experiences in the past. I was always too naive, sincere and happy with all the little things in my relationships; I believed every word, gesture and lies men would have told me. After a few such experiences I realised, my relationships were always just little games of chess; one after another. I was just an object starring in secret lives of men running around two, three, four woman and pretending to love just one (at the time).. My life was spiced up with betrayal, lies, sweet words and empty souls. So much action and so little consciousness. So I've painted this painting to set myself free, to show this never ending circle of "love" I have experienced - a man stays, women change. There is always one leaving the circle and new one entering it, (not) knowing what is really going on. I painted the man in the "caught in the act" moment, because a woman above him has just found out, he is cheating on her. She is sad and knocking him on the back as some kind of (sub)conscience; at that moment he realised what he has lost. A horse standing besides her supports her (stands for a deeper meaning of power, grace, beauty, freedom, nobility and strength). She will leave this story and move on with her head up. There are also two more women in this love betrayal circle; one in the bottom left, happy, smiling, just fell in love and is thinking of him. In the right bottom of the painting is a figure of a new girl; approaching him from his back; she is wild, free, young, restless, going for fun. He doesn't love any of them; he loves the excitement, pleasure, diversity, fun. And the "wheel of love" is spinning on. The paintings size is 50cm x 50cm x 3,5cm and it is framed with silver/gold modern wooden frame. Framed size of the painting is 65cm x 65cm x 3,5cm. It is ready to hang. I will ship it very well packed and protected with foil, layers of styrofoam, layers of cardboard and in a strong cardboard box.
