At first I had a huge pile of different artworks I had created but none of them seemed quite right. I started to pick up different pieces that gave me a feeling of sensitivity and tenderness I was experiencing at the time. With those pieces I created Consequences.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My creative process is always physically demanding. I use a lot of motion and movement while creating, even though my finished work often ends up being a lot softer than the process itself. As I think of a finished piece I strive for honesty and raw, unfiltered emotion, which makes the process also very emotional. I’m Helsinki born and based, so the want and need to express as honestly as possible comes deeply from the Finnish way of living.   For me the smooth surface of a finished painting doesn’t really represent the true nature of life, which isn’t always so seamless. That’s why I like to use a technique of cutting into pieces and stitching back together my materials, creating texture and dimension to my work. I think this technique makes the diversity of the people and events behind my work more tangible.
