I create maps to visualise an inner landscape. This specific painting references 'the line' and what it evokes when painting landscape. Influences include; indigenous art and perspectives; Infra-red imaging; Hubble Space Telescope; aerial photography; maps. My inspirations are all manifestations of visual and aural art, but specifically Modernism/Minimalism, and indigenous artists Rover Thomas & Jean Baptiste Apuatimi.
