As a Ukrainian today, I live a surreal life, defying norms. In November 2022, I created this self-portrait using bold strokes and vibrant colors, capturing the essence of surreal events that unfolded in my life. Through this painting, I conveyed my profound emotions regarding war, dignity, and the relentless pursuit of freedom. I aimed to portray the existence of an ordinary Ukrainian individual whose crucial yet unnoticed role played a significant part in this conflict. Within the artwork, I inscribed the words "Let there be spring" and "freedom" in Ukrainian, symbolizing my yearning for a brighter future.
