Circles and spheres are a recurring theme in Baylis' abstract work. This composition, as with much of her work, started with The fibonacci dimensions being laid out and then composed around. Baylis' new son-in-law is an astrophysicist fellow at Oxford so this planet theme was in his honour.

Rachel Baylis Ma (Fine Art) lives in London. She was born in 1959, in Cape Town, as her father was posted there while serving in the navy. As a child She also lived in Washington DC which she adored. Rachel set up and ran The Great Art expedition in the Royal Parks, London. She is now also a visiting tutor, working for art groups, arts centres, and individuals. Her studio is in Kingston and visitors are welcome by appointment.
