About The Artwork
This artwork was born while I was Covid-19 positive and while I experienced an altered state of consciousness. St. 5 stands for Sveta Petka which is another name for Saint Paraskeva - a saint of the Balkans in Orthodox Christianity. Petka is a synonym for number 5. As a child I was raised as Orthodox Christian and my grandmother always said to me that Sveta Petka is my guardian. I titled it Covid-19 versus St. 5 because it represents the struggle within me, the conflict between the biological and the spiritual matters. The artwork has wooden frame, which is part of the art itself. Hand signed by the artist on Verso. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Jana Lulovska is a multimedia artist who works primarily in photography, print and installation, and is also active in experimental film, video art, animation and design. She graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”, Sofia, Bulgaria. Through her work, Lulovska focuses on the topics of feminism, nature and ecology, psychology, perception, consciousness, time/movement, culture, philosophy, and science. Lulovska presented solo and group exhibitions in North Macedonia, USA, France, Greece, Belgium, Italy, Croatia, etc. She has participated in several international residencies, art and film workshops. Lulovska’s artworks are in collections in North Macedonia, Italy, and Bulgaria. Lulovska is a member of Association of Artists of North Macedonia. Lives and works in Skopje, North Macedonia.
