Crete Painting

I was born and grew up in Moscow. I had a great pleasure when I was studying at art school. Unfortunately, at the time after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it seemed impossible to choose the creative profession. I graduated from the Faculty of Law of the State University and for 15 years managed the legal department of a large investment company. The years 2011 and 2012 were very challenging for our company. I worked practically round the clock without days off or holidays and was on the edge of moral and physical exhaustion. In order to recharge my energy and mentally support myself, I restarted my painting practice, because in my youth it gave me such a joy! Аrt was my solace. At the end of 2012, I quit my job as a lawyer and fully devoted myself to painting and family. My heart was telling me to do this, so I had no choice. As an artist, I am convinced that a person's ability to be creative and the ability to feel himself in the role of the Creator of new worlds is the greatest gift of the Universe. For me it is a kind of source of strength and joy in life. I load my memory with shades and forms only to forget them all at the moment when I take on a blank canvas. As I enter into my studio I feel a rush of emotion that brings me to a place of deep reflections… Each time I don't know where my reflections will lead. I do know I have something to say and I know I can't do anything to keep it only inside myself.
