The work is not inspired by other paintings except that it is broadly modernist. The three elements in the picture may be viewed as in balance as well as having a tension and implied movement between them. The painting has no reference to the world outside the frame and is therefore self contained. I use acrylic because it gives a flatter finish and dries quickly. The box frame is included in the price and is 13"wide x 18"high x 2"deep. Hanging hardware is included.
