DUSK H29"XW95"XD1.75" acrylic with resin on canvas I never start a painting with a plan. I hug the canvas before me, bow my head in reverence and kiss it. Then I start. MOTHER NATURE is laboriously and distinctively textured. Each bump and groove spoke to me. I followed. As I intensively scraped at these layers I emulated the power and indiscriminate weathering of Mother Nature’s elements. I used my fingers, sticks, palette knives and large brushes. This glowing painting is a peaceful end to a glorious day of fresh air. You know that feeling after being in Mother Nature all day? You're a little slow and sleepy, body and spirit relaxed but at the same time you are rejuvenated by all the oxygen of the day. This painting's iridescent qualities are mesmerizing as your eyes flow down its length bringing satisfaction and an appreciation of life as daylight draws to an end. Its DUSK and today you lived life to the fullest. This painting exudes that feeling of contentment and gratitude. Thank you for considering to collect my works.
