About The Artwork
I like to paint anything relevant to Florida scenery, nature, boats, industries and its people. Shrimp boats are a favorite subject because most are unique in color and construction. Tampa Bay is home to a busy fishing and shrimping industry. I use watercolor to depict realistic imagery and because it can’t be equaled for brightness of color, light, and atmosphere. Andrew Wyeth, Tony Couch, and Jeanne Dobie’s figurative realism in watercolor inspire me to keep working in this medium. I hope my viewers can see how “Florida” is felt in this image.
