Marco Ugoni was born in Milan in October of 1972. He has been drawing and painting since he’s had memory, but he exhibited for the first time in October of 2012. With honesty and courage, “Ugo” began to reveal his personal feelings towards the word through the restitution of an optically deformed and visually re-formed reality, in accordance with the basic elements of the same perceptual grammar: point, line, surface. The beginning of a “revelation” which, paradoxically, keeps accessing new hidden areas, guiding Ugoni on his destined path and happy with every prevailing artistic personality. And Ugoni does not exempt himself from marking, tracing, or writing: line on line, limits, thresholds, borders. So, everything becomes a labyrinth, obsessive and elegant. And the hand, with each line more experienced, chases an ideal of purity, in search for the perfection that boldly reveals the great illusion: that reality is lucidly intelligible, beyond the undecided (but artistic) subjective interpretation.
