About The Artwork
How many times have you encounter danger in dark wet woods? How many times have you been startled by danger? Think how young child would feel. This work is about the moment we encounter danger never knowing that there is something even graver waiting for the opportunity to take us. I tried to remember story of red riding hood and how this dwells strongly onto my own recent encounter with darkness. There are demons larking everywhere. My brushstrokes and amount of oil on this painting is something to be desired, I think I scared myself doing it.
